Giovanni Bez is a film editor and director based between Bolzano and Berlin.
A 2025 graduate in Film Editing from the ZeLIG School for Documentary, Giovanni refined his craft during the post-production of the feature documentary "The Loom" (dir. Helene Kvale, exec. prod. James Ivory), working alongside internationally renowned editors Anne Fabini and Martin Reimers.
He combines technical precision with a deep sensitivity for the "cinema of the real." His work as an editor has been showcased at international festivals, including Visioni dal Mondo (Milan) and Zlín Film Festival (Czech Republic). As a director, his short film "Bostrico" was selected for the Trento Film Festival.
Currently, Giovanni is in the writing phase of his first feature-length documentary, "Lumin", a personal investigation into family legacy and memory set in the Dolomites.
